Classic Hummus- Better than restaurant

This Hummus! Creamy, garlicky, lemony and so so delicious! Much much better than the ones you order at restaurants, it is really flavourful. You would want to eat this hummus with everything! May I also add that it's vegan, gluten-free and super healthy! Hummus is a middle eastern dip or spread made with boiled chickpeas, garlic and olive oil and is usually eaten with pita bread. One of the most popular ways of eating hummus is with falafel wraps. Soft pita bread+creamy hummus+ crispy falafel+ crunchy veggies! I am dreaming of a falafel sandwich already. Speaking of pita bread, I have this amazing whole wheat pita bread  on the blog which you must try. Soft and pillowy pita bread is great for scooping hummus and other crunchy vegetables to make delicious sandwiches. I have had hummus at so many restaurants in India but home-made hummus is much more delicious and creamier. I mean there's really no comparison, it's that good! Go ahead and customise  thi...

Whole wheat pita chips

Pita chips are perfect accompaniment to dips, especially if they are made from homemade whole wheat pita bread. You cannot ask for a better appetizer to entertain your guests. Remember how we love munching on fried packaged chips while watching a movie or on a game night. Well these are the same, only they are yummier and a lot healthier! These are baked and made from whole wheat too so they get added bonus points. You can devour a big bowl without any guilt. Pita chips are made by baking already baked pita bread in oven. Extra virgin olive oil, salt and hint of red chili powder makes these crispy and crunchy yeasty pita chips even more delish. They are perfect for enjoying hummus , muhammara , green goodness coriander hummus , baba ganoush or any other dip for that matter. Pita chips are an amazing snack food for game night, movie night or for entertaining guests. It can be made in advance and stored in air tight container but tastes best when just out of oven. Honestly wh...

Green goodness coriander hummus

Hummus is a Middle eastern dip/spread made with boiled chickpeas to which ingredients like olive oil, garlic, salt and lemon is added. It is usually smeared over toasted bread or tortillas to make tacos. Hummus is most popular for accompanying falafel which is tucked into soft pita bread and served with crisp salad made of cucumber, onion, tomato and fresh mint. Hummus is served as a dip with pita and tortilla chips too as an appetizer. My another favourite way of eating it is with raw veggies like cherry tomatoes, carrot, cucumber and steamed broccoli. Its a great snack anytime of the day when you are hungry. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I adore this dip. I don't know a single person who has tried it and not fallen in love with it. Its creamy, healthy, lemony, spicy, garlicky, delicious and packed with fresh punch of coriander! Creamy hummus comes together easily and perfect when your guests or friends are coming over. You can make it the previous day an...

Forgive me if my chapatis/ whole wheat tortilla don't look all that great. I am yet to perfect the art of making Indian chapatis!! Off-late I have been hooked to these tacos/ wraps. These are so simple to make and so so delicious! I cannot thank my bhabhi Meenu enough for introducing me to Hummus . There is not one single person I know who has not gotten smitten by my hummus recipe. It really is a wonder sauce. Smear it over toasted bread, wraps or dip your favorite finger food in it. It is to die for! Tacos are traditionally Mexican. It is a corn/wheat flour tortilla to which fillings like Mexican beans, vegetables, sea-food, meat is added and topped with garnishes like guacamole and salsa. Tortilla is nothing but a fancy word for 'Indian chapati'. Next time you are bored of roti-sabzi like me, do try these grilled vegetable tacos. Lebanese cuisine celebrates whole grains, chickpeas, spices and uses generous amount of lemon, garlic and olive oil. My favourites ...
