5 Sauce Pizza!

Bro-in-law's 5 sauce Pizza

Apologies for being M.I.A. for so long. Parents had come down for a week and before that this and that happened. Regardless, I am back! Today I am going to share recipe of a pizza which was a revelation to me. This is my bro-in-law's recipe and I almost made a face when I heard about the sauces that go in this pizza. As apprehensive as I was, I jumped with excitement after tucking into it. It is a cracker pizza which combines amazing flavours.

Being a fan of Italian food, I love thin crust pizza. Pizza as we all know is a flat bread with toppings on it. Who doesn't love a classic margherita! Simple marinara sauce+ basil+ mozzarella is a match made in heaven.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Peanut butter - 1 tsp
  2. Mustard sauce - 1 tsp
  3. Mint mayonnaise - 1tsp
  4. Garlic mayonnaise- 1 tsp
  5. Pizza sauce - 1tsp
  6. Tobasco( optional)
  7. Chopped vegetables ( sweetcorn, tomato, onion, bell-peppers, baby-corn, olives)
  8. Mixed herbs, chilli flakes
  9. Pizza base
  10. Mozzarella cheese

METHOD

  • Preheat oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
  • Take pizza base and apply peanut butter followed by mustard sauce, garlic mayonnaise, mint mayonnaise, pizza sauce and some Tabasco (optional)

  • Now top up with chopped desired vegetables.
  • Sprinkle chilli flakes, mixed herbs, salt and black pepper powder.

  • Generously put mozzarella and bake in a hot oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes or till crust is crisp.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.

TIPS

  1. I have used approximately 1 Tsp of every sauce. Add more or less of sauce depending on your palate.
  2. You can also use veggies like mushrooms, zucchini, bell-peppers, aubergine, cottage cheese(paneer).
  3. I love caramelized onions on pizza. Yo can add that too. Get the recipe of caramelized onions here.
  4. Instead of using mozzarella, you can tear off Amul cheese slices and use that. It melts beautifully.

Peanut butter gives this pizza a nutty flavour which goes extremely well with garlic mayonnaise. Pizza isn't restricted to basic pizza sauce anymore. Pizzas like Pesto pizza, Mexican pizza, hummus pizza, Mediterranean style pizza, dessert pizza are gaining more and more popularity every passing day. Mediterranean style pizza with toppings like feta, caramelized onions, kalamata olives, roasted peppers is one of my favourites.

Find recipe of pesto here and recipe of hummus here.

Try this pizza! It is really yum. Don't forget to send me pictures on nishubes@gmail.com. You can reach me on facebook @nishubes.
