Hi, I am Nishu Shah and I live in Mumbai with my husband Manish. Chartered Accountant by profession, I like to call myself Half-Rajasthani and half- Mumbaiya. I started enjoying cooking when I was just 11 years old. Hailing from a small town called Bhilwara (Rajasthan), I knew very little about any cuisine other than Indian.
When I first came to Mumbai (then Bombay) to pursue studies, I got introduced to ingredients and cuisines which I had never tasted or seen before. My life now would be incomplete without pesto, feta cheese, dark chocolate and olive oil! Since then started my journey to watch international cooking shows, collect recipe books, cook, bake and follow celebrity chefs on social networking sites. I love love love Jamie Oliver and Donna Hay!
My cooking style is simple food with fresh ingredients which speak naturally of their flavors. Being a marwari, I love my everyday marwari food but I get bored of same kind of food very easily. On weekends, I experiment and try new recipes, most of which are nutritional and easy to prepare.
In this fast paced life, it is very important to eat right and eat at regular intervals. Here on my blog, you will find nutritional, healthy and easy recipes from around the world, especially Italian food. Since I am fond of baking, I often flaunt my baking experiments too. Little indulgence once in a while won't hurt your waistline.
I started this blog in April 2013 to share my favorite recipes and encourage home cooking. I am not an expert and a very recent blogger compared to my senior and fellow bloggers. It's a learning experience and I am enjoying it thoroughly. Very thankful to my readers for their feedback and suggestions, please continue to do that.
Every recipe that I share has been tested by me. Good photography of food makes a good connection with readers. Photos taken by me are my treasure because I spend a lot of time and energy trying to capture what I share. Please be courteous enough to not copy pictures and content of the blog.
Hope you enjoy discovering my blog!
