Fruit and nut Chocolate bark

I  loved Chirstmas celebration in school. There were plays, dance performances and prayers which was followed by appearance of Santa. I still don't know who became Santa every year! One of the song we always sang was"Joy to the world, the lord has come!" Man, I am missing school and my friends now.

I am no Santa but I come bearing this decadent Chocolate bark. This one is bold in flavours! Chocolate+ coffee+ raisins+ roasted almonds, I mean you have got to be from other planet if you don't like all these flavours together! Fruit n nut bar is one of my favourite so I thought of re-creating it by adding some coffee powder.

It is so ridiculously easy to make and a perfect gift for you friends this Christmas. I love its uneven pieces which are studded with chewy raisins and roasted almonds.

Chocolate bark is a delicious home-made chocolate bar. It is made by spreading melted chocolate over a baking tray and topping it with assorted dried-fruit and nuts. This is one of the easiest dessert you can make. It took me mere 10 minutes to make these barks!

250 gms Dark Chocolate (I use Morde Dark Compound)
Butter - 1 Tbsp
Coffee- 1Tsp
2 Tbsp Raisins/cranberries
2 Tbsp Almonds shavings/chopped roasted almonds
Butter Paper

Chop dark chocolate finely.  Melt over a double boiler with butter and coffee powder.

Once chocolate melts, spread over a baking tray which should be lined with butter paper.

Spread raisins and almonds over it.

Keep aside to set for 30-45 minutes.

Carefully take off butter paper. Break in uneven pieces and enjoy!

Store in an air-tight container in a cool and dry place.

Chocolate bark is a great gift to give to your friends and family members. Experiment with flavours and make chocolate bark of your choice! Try adding peppermint essence, chilli powder, cinnamon powder to flavour the chocolate.
