Papaya smoothie

I have a thing for smoothies. They are just so amazing. Full of nutritional goodness of fruits, creamy and so yum! This papaya smoothie is made with yoghurt. Its pro-biotic, creamy, healthy, minty, easy and so delicious. I always gulp down two full glasses of it for breakfast. It can be made all year long and makes for a very healthy start to the day.

This recipe requires just 5 ingredients and a blender. It is gluten free and you can make it vegan by substituting yoghurt with coconut milk, almond milk or just coconut water.

Papaya is a tropical fruit which is usually available throughout the year in all countries. Its rich in fiber and helps in preventing constipation. Papaya is low in calories so its excellent for those who want to lose weight. Its also rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C which help boost immunity. Rubbing papaya on face also gives good skin and fights acne.

As a kid I hated this fruit, like literally hated and now I am very proud to say that papaya is one of my favourite fruit. I cannot go even one day without having it. In most of the Indian households, its almost a ritual to have it everyday.

Creamy, pro-biotic and healthy papaya smoothie to start your day! Its really good for your gut.
